The Cyber Intelligence Analyst II will undertake site lead responsibilities and assist the Operational Intelligence Division (OID), Office of Strategic Intelligence and Information (OSII), Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), and the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) with intelligence analysis and investigative support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Employ analytical methods to extract target information while aiding complex multi-defendant investigations.
  • Conduct quality assessments to ascertain the validity and relevance of collected information.
  • Create and sustain computerized intelligence databases tailored to the division's needs, generating statistical and relational reports for division managers and headquarters' initiatives.
  • Collaborate with headquarters' intelligence research specialists and fellow team members on various initiatives.
  • Provide guidance to team members on specific findings and suggest suitable actions.
  • Perform liaison and coordination tasks with counterparts and personnel across the intelligence and law enforcement sectors.
  • Gather, assess, analyze, and synthesize information from diverse sources, including raw intelligence, into valuable analytical products, reports, and documentation.
  • De-anonymize individuals/suspects.
  • Document and disseminate analytical conclusions.
  • Utilize relevant databases, geospatial data, and resources to manage client relationships, identifying their needs and expectations.
  • Recognize intelligence gaps and contribute to the development of operational programs through regular analysis of message traffic, intelligence data, and other information sources.
  • Coordinate with intelligence research specialists and team members to share information, resolve issues, eliminate redundancy, and synchronize multi-divisional efforts.
  • Prepare and deliver briefings on various intelligence subjects.
  • Recommend modifications and enhancements to existing systems.
  • Review and assess incoming intelligence data to ensure completeness and compliance with established input requirements for computer systems.
  • Compile and submit weekly status updates, intelligence reports, investigation summaries, and briefing presentations.
  • Complete mandatory training on computer security awareness and emergency evacuation protocols.
  • Develop analytical strategies to extract target information while supporting complex multi-defendant investigations.
  • Initiate requests to guide tasking and assist in collection management.
  • Design, build, and refine query strategies against relevant collection databases.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • 3+ years of experience in intelligence analysis and reporting.
  • Experience in financial crimes and/or with the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network/Office of Foreign Assets (FINCEN/OFAC).
  • Proficiency in Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) analysis.
  • Background check required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Familiarity with:
  • Intelligence analysis and reporting.
  • Cyber Intelligence methodologies.
  • Exploitation of social media and open-source information.
  • Navigating the dark web and conducting deep web searches.
  • De-anonymizing individuals/suspects.
  • Concepts and applications of virtual currency.
  • Federal law enforcement investigative techniques and procedures.
  • Microsoft Windows and MAC operating systems.
  • Knowledge of a foreign language, such as Chinese, Russian, or Spanish.
  • Prior experience with Semantica Pro, i2 Analyst Notebook, National Crime Information Center (NCIC), TECS, CLEAR, or Accurint.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a top-secret clearance.
  • Familiarity with commercial software for internet searches and social media exploitation.
