About the Position

We are seeking a skilled Crisis Specialist to provide psychiatric assessment and treatment to clients in a correctional institution. The ideal candidate will have experience working with mentally ill clients across all ages in crisis or emergent situations and be able to work well with a small team. The Crisis Specialist will be responsible for conducting crisis and mental health assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing psychotherapy to clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct psychiatric assessments and develop treatment plans for clients
  • Provide psychotherapy to clients
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide optimum client care
  • Develop and implement crisis intervention plans
  • Document complex clinical information quickly, accurately, and concisely
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a closely related field and equivalent to one year of clinical behavioral health experience under qualified supervision in a behavioral health setting. The candidate must also be registered with the State of California, Board of Behavioral Sciences as an Associate Clinical Social Worker, Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, or Associate Professional Clinical Counselor.
