Job Summary

This position will provide administrative support to the HR Manager and HR Department with a wide range of projects related to HR compliance, recruiting, onboarding, employee benefits, and employee recognition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with recruitment process, including posting job openings, reviewing resumes, conducting interviews, and making job offers.
  • Support onboarding process, including background checks, scheduling physicals and drug screens, and confirming orientation details.
  • Assist with benefit administration, including scheduling benefit orientations, preparing and collecting benefit enrollment information, and entering benefit enrollment.
  • Maintain HR vendor relationships with a high degree of customer service.
  • Support HR department with completion of HRIS management, document creation, employee file maintenance, employment verifications, badge requests, and form management.
  • Support time and attendance functions with entry of PTO and attendance occurrences/requests.
  • Assist with training process, including scheduling training, coordinating documentation, and creating materials.
  • Coordinate company events, including company parties, picnics, giveaways, and lunches.
  • Research information for HR-related projects, including benchmark data, industry trends, and legal compliance.
  • Interface with all departments and levels of employees while resolving simple problems and issues related to staffing and training.
  • Assist other departments as needed.
  • Assist with HR-related projects as needed.

Requirements:

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Communication, Finance, Business, or Social Sciences required.
  • Previous internship or 1-3 years of administrative experience in an HR department preferred.
  • Basic understanding of GMPs, HACCP, and SQF guidelines required.
  • High proficiency in MS Office Suite skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate as part of a team or committee.
  • Highly motivated and action-oriented, with demonstrated ability to effectively organize tasks, manage time, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
  • Proven competency in action orientation, listening, informing, and motivating others.
  • Willingness to continue education and/or receive PHR or SHRM-CP professional designation preferred.

Work Environment:

  • Includes office and manufacturing environments, requiring personal protective equipment in certain areas and exposure to loud noise.
