Job Summary

The HR Operations Specialist will oversee the Human Resource function at a production facility, planning, directing, and providing HR guidance to plant operations leadership, supervisory staff, and employees. This includes employment policies, compensation, training, labor relations, employee relations, and communications.

Main Responsibilities
  • Interprets the labor agreement and provides guidance to supervisors, managers, and employees on performance/disciplinary issues.
  • Assists employees on resolving work-related concerns.
  • Supports Operations Managers on initiatives to improve employee relations, work environment, training, onboarding, recruitment, administrative processes, and safety.
  • Provides training to Supervisors and Employees on new policies and initiatives.
  • Ensures employment-related decisions are in compliance with company policies, State, and Federal laws.
  • Researches industry trends and provides recommendations to ensure the company is using best practices.
  • Works as a partner with the HR Operations to ensure consistency in policies and initiatives.
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree; preferably in HR.
  • 4-7 years' Human Resources generalist in a manufacturing or technical environment experience preferred.
  • Previous Technical Recruitment Experience preferred.
  • Organizational development experience including performance management, compensation, succession planning, and job profiles.
  • Experience in manufacturing/hourly workforce setting.
