We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Weekend Family Services Coordinator to join our team at Professional Services Group. As a key member of our In-Home Safety Services (IHSS) program, you will play a vital role in supporting families referred by Child Protective Services and the Ongoing Unit to maintain safety in homes where children are at risk for removal.

As a Weekend Family Services Coordinator, you will work closely with families to address a wide range of concerns including safety, parenting, household management, nutrition, safe and stable housing, service acquisition, education, employment, medical, mental health, and substance abuse issues.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable families in our community. You will have the opportunity to exercise judgment to intervene as an advocate for clients in emergency and crisis situations, and conduct face-to-face contact with families to ensure safety and cooperation with safety plans.

Key responsibilities of the Weekend Family Services Coordinator include:

  • Evaluating youth and families for treatment needs and referring to appropriate resources.
  • Analyzing client situations, capabilities, and problems to determine services required to control safety threats.
  • Conducting face-to-face contact with families to ensure safety and cooperation with safety plans.
  • Assisting with Supervised Visitation Program as needed to transport clients to family visits.

Location: Office is located in Sheboygan, WI. Local travel is required to meet at client homes throughout Sheboygan County, with mileage reimbursement.

Salary: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

Schedule: Part-time 1-2 weekend shifts per week. Hours are varied based on your availability and the families' needs.

Requirements:

  • Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or related.
  • Must have reliable transportation on a daily basis, a valid driver's license, and automobile insurance.
  • One year of experience working with at-risk youth and families is preferred, but not required.
