Job Overview

Position: Lead Project Coordinator (SACWIS)

Location: Hybrid role, candidates must be local.

Contract Duration: 12+ Months

Experience Required: 10+ Years

Candidates with experience in Major Information Resource Projects (MIRP), Texas Project Delivery Framework (TPDF), Statewide Automated Child Welfare Information Systems (SACWIS), and related DFPS programs are highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee multiple projects concurrently utilizing Waterfall, Agile, or Hybrid project management methodologies.

Essential Candidate Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years leading IT software development initiatives.

Preferred Candidate Attributes:

  • Experience managing Major Information Resource Projects.
  • Familiarity with TPDF requirements.
  • Knowledge of DFPS systems/programs such as SACWIS, IMPACT, PACES, etc.
  • PMP certification is advantageous.

Role Summary:

The individual will be responsible for managing 1-3 concurrent projects for the client using Waterfall, Agile, or Hybrid methodologies.

Required Competencies:

  • 7 Years of experience in leading Information Technology software development projects.
  • 7 Years of understanding various software development topics, including requirements writing, development, software testing, and code promotion.
  • 7 Years of knowledge of Project Management Life Cycle processes.
  • 7 Years of experience with project documentation such as charters, project plans, work breakdown structures, resource management, status reports, issues logs, action logs, and decision tracking documents.
  • 7 Years of ability to analyze complex information and formulate plans to address identified issues.
  • 7 Years of capability to manage changes in project scope, resources, and budget.
  • 7 Years of proficiency in communicating project progress and upcoming activities to stakeholders at all levels.
  • 5 Years of skill in interpersonal relationships, including working under pressure, negotiating among multiple parties, resolving conflicts, and maintaining effective working relationships.
  • 5 Years of experience leading project teams to successful project completion.
  • 5 Years of advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio, and SharePoint.

Desirable Skills:

  • 4 Years of experience as a Lead Project Manager on Major Information Resources Projects.
  • 4 Years of knowledge regarding SACWIS Certification requirements.
  • 4 Years of understanding Texas Project Delivery Framework requirements for major Information Resources Projects.
  • 4 Years of strong understanding of EIR Accessibility requirements and their technical specifications.
  • 1 Year of familiarity with DFPS systems/programs: IMPACT, PACES, ABCS, PEIRS, NEICE, e-Report, e-Travel, General Placement Search, and Community Based Care.
  • 1 Year of Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification from the Project Management Institute is preferred.
