Key Responsibilities

  • Project Planning and Coordination
    • Collaborate with our estimating team to ensure accurate project planning and execution.
    • Coordinate all aspects and phases of the ground up construction project, including collaborating with our estimating team.
  • Financial Management
    • Assist with monthly project financial forecast reporting and owner billings.
  • Risk Management
    • Identify and mitigate risk, managing the company's exposure.
  • Contract Administration
    • Review and negotiate owner contracts, subcontracts, and proposals.
  • Project Scheduling
    • Forecast project staffing needs for self-perform work.
    • Develop and maintain CPM schedules and lead construction operations to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Quality Assurance
    • Ensure adherence to health and safety standards and project QA/QC.
  • Project Reporting
    • Evaluate progress and prepare executive project reports for company and owner groups.
  • Permitting and Compliance
    • Assist in permitting processes as needed.
  • Constructability Reviews
    • Lead project constructability reviews/plan checks and associated documentation.
  • Contract Administration
    • Contract administration, periodic onsite observations of work, and monitoring of drawing compliance.
  • Project Close-Out
    • Assist with the project close-out process.

Requirements

  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in construction science/management or engineering preferred.
  • Experience
    • 3-5 years of commercial construction ground up project engineering/managing experience.
  • Skills
    • Strong leadership, time management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
    • In-depth understanding of construction methods, materials, and management principles.
    • Fluency with construction scheduling and project management software.
