Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team at Farmer Focus. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our warehouse department, ensuring that all production schedules are met, and that our products are of the highest quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage a team of employees in the warehouse department, providing guidance and support to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands and ensure that all products are delivered on time.
  • Monitor and control costs, including labor and supplies, to ensure that we are operating within budget.
  • Ensure that all equipment and facilities are properly maintained and that all safety protocols are followed.
  • Administer company policies and management practices to employees, providing training and development opportunities to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Investigate and resolve any quality issues or concerns, working closely with other departments to implement corrective actions.
  • Coordinate activities with other production departments to ensure smooth product flow and minimize downtime.
  • Direct the flow of materials to assigned areas, ensuring that all production areas are well-stocked and that production schedules are met.
  • Train new employees on the safe and efficient operation of equipment, ensuring that they are properly trained and equipped to perform their duties.
  • Handle employee grievances and make recommendations for hires, terminations, transfers, promotions, training, discipline, and other changes of status in accordance with company policy.
  • Manage employee performance, providing regular feedback and coaching to ensure that employees are meeting their performance goals.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; College Degree in a related field preferred.
  • Three or more years of previous supervisory experience, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Poultry or food industry experience a plus.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Basic computer knowledge and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Must have 20/20 corrected vision and be able to climb stairs to view processes.

Work Environment

Must be able to tolerate the varying heat, wet, and chill of the plant, and wear hearing and eye-protective equipment as required. Must also be willing to participate on audit teams or safety committees and comply with all safety rules and instructions.
