Overview:
Varetire is seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee our housekeeping team during the day shift. This role involves managing a team of custodians, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and organization throughout our facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the supervisor in addressing minor performance issues and act as the supervisor's backup when necessary.
- Lead and coordinate the daily activities of a team of at least four custodians, including special cleaning projects.
- Collaborate with building coordinators on special projects such as floor cleaning, event preparations, and seasonal cleaning tasks.
- Prepare work orders and requisitions for cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Conduct regular and specialized cleaning of assigned areas.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and actively participate in waste management and recycling initiatives.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Experience working with industrial cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Capability to manage and lead a small team while adhering to schedules.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and basic customer service principles.
- Must be at least 19 years old and possess a valid driver's license for a minimum of 24 consecutive months.
