Overview:

Varetire is seeking a dedicated Lead Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within our facilities. The working hours are typically Monday to Friday, from early morning until midday, with occasional weekend duties and on-call responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the supervisor in managing team performance and serve as the acting supervisor when needed.
  • Oversee and guide a team of at least four custodians in their daily tasks and special cleaning initiatives.
  • Collaborate with facility coordinators on special projects, including deep cleans, events, relocations, and seasonal cleaning.
  • Manage work orders and procure cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Execute routine and specialized cleaning tasks in designated areas.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and engage in the organization's waste management and recycling efforts.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Experience with industrial cleaning chemicals and equipment such as buffers and scrubbers.
  • Capability to handle materials that may contain bloodborne pathogens.
  • Leadership skills to manage a small team and effectively organize time to meet schedules.
  • Knowledge of cleaning methods and basic customer service principles.
  • Must be at least 19 years old and possess a valid driver's license for a minimum of 24 consecutive months.

Additional Considerations:

Proficiency in Spanish, including verbal and written translation skills, is highly valued.
