Job Summary

This position is located in the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), Employment and Training Administration (ETA), Office of Workforce Investment. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the office executives and key staff in significant management planning, policy, and decision-making sessions. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and maintain cooperative relationships with management officials in a multi-layered organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Actively participate with senior level executives and key staff in planning, policy, and decision making for implementation.
  • Advise senior level executives on management or administrative matters, often of a confidential nature.
  • Provide senior level executives with assistance in managing human resources functions, procurement, and those related to travel.
  • Work collaboratively and maintain cooperative relationships with management officials in a multi-layered organization.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 16 years old.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Candidate required to obtain the necessary security/investigation level.
  • Requires a probationary period if the requirement has not been met.
  • Subject to financial disclosure requirements.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal Service. The candidate must have experience in actively participating with senior level executives and key staff in planning, policy, and decision making for implementation, advising senior level executives on management or administrative matters, and providing senior level executives with assistance in managing human resources functions, procurement, and those related to travel.
