Overview:

We are currently seeking a talented Transportation Manager to join our innovative team. This role is based in our Madison, WI office and is pivotal in steering our transportation projects towards success.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Transportation Manager, your primary duties will include:
  • Establishing and overseeing both short-term and long-term objectives for the team in alignment with the annual business strategy.
  • Enhancing team capabilities through effective supervision, coaching, and training initiatives.
  • Managing project scope, timelines, technical specifications, contractual commitments, client interactions, staffing, and budgeting throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Building and nurturing relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Facilitating clear and effective communication both internally and externally.
  • Providing support to colleagues on transportation-related projects.
  • Assessing staffing requirements, recruiting talent, and maintaining a skilled workforce.
  • Implementing the JT Quality Assurance process across all projects.

Qualifications:
To thrive in this role, candidates should possess:
  • A Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent relevant experience.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in project leadership and staff management.
  • A Professional Engineer (PE) License in Wisconsin or the ability to obtain one (preferred).
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation for site visits and meetings.
  • Legal authorization to work permanently in the country where this position is located.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for professional development and project-related tasks.
