About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Highgate Hotels. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Executive Chef and other F&B managers to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
  • Monitor and control food and labor costs to maximize guest satisfaction and profitability.
  • Coordinate and implement Loss Prevention measures in kitchen areas.
  • Prepare and submit required reports in a timely manner.
  • Oversee all aspects of the daily operation of the kitchen and food production areas.
  • Ensure compliance with SOPs, health department regulations, and corporate standards.
  • Conduct staff performance reviews and provide coaching and development opportunities.
  • Work collaboratively with the Director of F&B to create and implement menus.
Requirements
  • At least 4 years of related progressive experience or a culinary graduate with at least 2 years of experience.
  • Knowledge of F&B preparation techniques, health department rules and regulations, and liquor laws.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
