Overview

The Walsh Group is a rapidly growing, highly diversified construction company seeking experienced professionals to join our Transportation team in New York. As a Safety Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and health of our employees, subcontractors, vendors, and owner personnel working on marine-based projects.

Job Description
  • Develop and implement site-specific safety plans in collaboration with project managers and management teams.
  • Coordinate safety and health programs with subcontractors and assist in planning work to minimize risks.
  • Conduct daily evaluations of work activities, equipment, and processes for compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Responsibilities
  1. Lead accident investigations, prepare incident reports, and recommend corrective measures.
  2. Manage work-related injuries, ensure medical evaluation and treatment, and oversee implementation of confined space entry protocols.
  3. Implement the Company's Drug-Free Workplace Policy, including pre-employment testing, random testing, and follow-up procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or equivalent.
  • CHST (Construction Health & Safety Technician) Certification preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in construction safety, with marine experience preferred.

Salary Estimate

We estimate the salary range for this position to be between $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
