Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and kitchen efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee daily kitchen operations, managing food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure timely service and consistent food quality.
- Solicit, train, and motivate kitchen staff to maintain high performance and a positive work environment.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to create seasonal menus that reflect customer preferences and market trends.
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders to maintain proper stock levels of ingredients and kitchen supplies.
- Manage food costs and waste, implement strategies to improve kitchen efficiency, and optimize labor costs.
- Evaluate and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
- Coordinate catering services for events and ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Address customer inquiries and feedback to ensure a high level of satisfaction.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a kitchen management role, with experience in high-volume, upscale dining.
- Certifications: NYC DOH Food Protection Certificate required.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and communication abilities, with a talent for motivating and developing a team.
- Operational Efficiency: Experience in managing kitchen operations, food costs, inventory, and waste management.
- Bilingual: A plus, but not required.
- Organizational Skills: Strong time management, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
- Possession for Quality: A dedication to maintaining high food quality, presentation, and exceptional customer service.
