About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Culinary Manager to oversee our catering operations at Chartwells Higher Ed - St. Johns University. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in managing high-volume catering events, developing menus, and controlling food costs. They will also possess excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of culinary professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage catering operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and service delivery
  • Develop and implement cost-effective solutions to control food costs
  • Lead a team of culinary staff, providing guidance, training, and coaching as needed
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless event execution
  • Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and hygiene in all aspects of catering operations

Requirements and Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in catering management or a related field
  • Proven track record of success in managing high-volume events and controlling food costs
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Degree in Culinary Arts or a related field
