About the Role

The Sales Associate, Southeast Territory Manager manages the customer sales process for all product lines, accounts, and/or sales opportunities. Key responsibilities include:

  • Generating qualified sales leads and developing sales plans through strategic and tactical activities.
  • Engaging with existing customers, guiding them to products that best meet their needs, and coordinating with internal teams to address customer questions and objections.
  • Providing budgetary pricing, negotiating win-win deals, and closing sales.
  • Collaborating with the wider sales team to meet and exceed sales quotas for specific product lines, account types, and/or sales territories.
  • Accurately forecasting sales projections and providing regular updates on the status of sales opportunities.
Key Responsibilities

The Sales Associate, Southeast Territory Manager will:

  • Manage the customer sales process for specific territories, product lines, and/or accounts.
  • Partner with territory sales teams to meet sales targets, provide accurate forecasting, and maintain lead, opportunity, and customer information in the CRM database.
  • Be responsible for the growth of pre-defined accounts to meet and exceed revenue goals.
  • Use in-depth knowledge of 10x Genomics' technology, products, and services to help customers formulate strategies for their projects and business directions.
  • Anticipate and identify customer problems and needs, and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Travel to customer and prospect accounts, conferences, and 10x Genomics-sponsored events as needed to drive successful growth of the business.
  • Independently establish and execute strategies for identifying and obtaining new customers and maintaining/growing existing customer accounts to meet and exceed revenue goals.
  • Identify possible risks to the business and make decisions to determine next steps to mitigate risk and ensure growth of the sales pipeline.
  • Engage cross-functional departments to build and deploy specific strategies to drive revenue growth at a district, territory, and/or account level.
  • Actively pull together people across functional/product lines to solve customer issues and problems.
  • Establish and maintain strong, positive, productive relationships with clients, including product end-users, management, and purchasing contacts.
  • Track ROI of strategic efforts and report on all activities to managers.
