This role is pivotal in managing production teams, equipment, and materials to ensure adherence to customer quality standards and timelines. The Operations Executive will facilitate communication among department managers and enhance production efficiency through regular interaction and collaboration. Investment in training, technology, and equipment is essential to maintain our high standards of material and product quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with divisional leadership and site operations leaders to define a strategic vision that aligns operational capabilities with market trends.
  • Work closely with the divisional VP and sales management to prioritize production tasks.
  • Coordinate production activities across multiple facilities to optimize capacity and expertise while fulfilling customer requirements.
  • Oversee purchasing controls and monitor cost of goods sold (COGS) for each department.
  • Ensure the maintenance and operational readiness of machinery across all production departments.
  • Manage schedules to meet customer deadlines by effectively utilizing personnel and equipment; approve overtime and leave as necessary.
  • Supervise the upkeep and repair of production equipment, ensuring safety protocols are consistently followed.
  • Direct production activities by assigning daily projects and setting both short-term and long-term objectives; address procedural and technical inquiries from staff.
  • Provide technical support by staying informed about new products and technologies, offering feedback on materials and equipment, and delivering in-house training.
  • Prepare and manage the annual budget, reviewing costs with supervisors and exploring opportunities for cost reduction and productivity enhancement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in production or operations management within the print or graphics industry.
  • Proficiency in pre-press processes, scheduling, and production planning.
  • Experience with digital printing, particularly dye sublimation fabrics.
  • Familiarity with the production of tradeshow, event, and retail graphics is advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel up to two weeks per month to various production facilities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to address challenges.
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale, complex projects.
