Human Resources Business Partner

As a Human Resources Business Partner at Dartmouth Health, you will play a critical role in supporting the organization by implementing and administering human resource programs and policies. This position serves as a liaison between employees/managers of various departments and the Human Resources function.
Key Responsibilities
• Supports the organization by implementing and administering human resource programs and policies.
• Serves as a liaison between employees/managers of various departments and the Human Resources function.
• Provides consultative guidance and coaching to designated leaders within APDMH.
• Participates in the legal and ethical resolution of employee relations issues.
• Investigates HR-related issues to ensure effective, legally compliant resolutions are arrived at in a timely manner and within HR guidelines.
• Supports managers with performance-related concerns, providing guidance and counseling to enable managers to lead successfully.
• Provides advice and counsel to managers and supervisors regarding personnel practices, policy, and employment laws.
• Maintains and monitors the organization's performance review program, including reviewing and supporting training to managers and employees.
• Partners with and acts as an internal consultant with other HR team members, managers, and supervisors regarding policies and procedures.
• Ensures job descriptions are complete, accurate, and reflective of expectations to benchmark appropriately.
• Assists managers by developing employee goal recommendations and measuring employee performance recommendations, creating employee development tools and templates.
• Assists in the development and implementation of processes and programs designed to maximize employee productivity, performance, and engagement.
• May carry some responsibility for the recruitment function of HR, including recruiting for certain roles or departments.
• Provides exit interviews to employees separating from APD and provides feedback to managers to support retention efforts.
• Develops new policies and reviews existing policies on a regular basis to ensure that policies support the business need and are legally compliant.
• Administers FMLA and other leave policies.
Requirements
• BS/BA degree preferred, in HR, Leadership, or Business.
• Experience in a variety of HR functions, including employee relations, performance management, and compensation.
• PHR certification preferred.
• High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
• Strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
• Good organizational, project, and time management skills.
• Strict adherence to confidentiality is essential.
Work Status
M-F onsite.
