Animal Care Technician

Our veterinary facility is in search of a dedicated Full-Time Veterinary Technician to contribute to exceptional patient care and client service within a dynamic, multi-doctor animal clinic.
Key Responsibilities
The Veterinary Technician plays a crucial role in assisting Veterinarians with animal care. Responsibilities include:
- Supporting initial examinations by safely restraining animals as needed.
- Ensuring examination and surgical rooms are stocked with necessary supplies.
- Sterilizing instruments and verifying that all equipment is functioning properly.
- Performing technical tasks such as venipuncture, catheter placement, anesthesia administration, and monitoring.
- Conducting dental cleanings, radiographic imaging, administering medications, and performing laboratory analyses.
- Educating clients about pet care and updating patient records.
The ideal candidate will:
- Exhibit professionalism, reliability, and effective communication skills.
- Be an enthusiastic individual who enjoys working with both people and animals.
- Demonstrate compassion and a caring attitude.
- Be flexible with work hours, including weekends.
- Work well independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Possess a self-motivated approach to completing daily tasks.
- Have prior experience in a similar role, which is preferred.
- Experience in customer service.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Current state licensure in good standing for Veterinary Technician positions.
