Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the marketing of veterinary services beneficial to pets, such as dental cleanings, senior wellness, spay and neuter, and boarding.

Additionally, you will assist in various aspects of hospital operations, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and managing prescription requests.

Compliance and Training:

Ensure that the hospital and its personnel comply with federal and state animal health regulations, including OSHA, Radiation, state board requirements, and DEA guidelines.

You will enforce hospital policies established by the Practice Manager and Medical Lead, while also training and assisting veterinary support staff in their technical and client education duties.

Provide constructive feedback to supervisors to facilitate ongoing coaching for team members as necessary.

Team Management:

Offer guidance and direction to team members, establishing performance standards and monitoring their progress. Address interpersonal issues and concerns raised by technicians and support staff.

You will manage the overall clinic workflow, creating technical schedules that align with the needs of doctors, the team, surgical procedures, and outpatient services while monitoring overtime and payroll expenses.

Arrange for shift coverage by either seeking assistance from the technical team or covering shifts personally.
