- Conduct regular room inspections to evaluate animal health and environmental conditions.
- Document clinical observations in accordance with established standards and protocols.
- Provide basic animal care, including receiving and maintaining animal enclosures.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.
- Handle and restrain rodents safely and humanely.
- Perform various techniques to support in vivo studies, such as oral gavage, injections, blood collection, and necropsy.
- Carry out rodent euthanasia and proper disposal of animal remains.
- Utilize available resources and systems effectively, including standard operating procedures and computer applications.
- Execute procedures in compliance with protocols, regulations, and laboratory standards.
- A high school diploma or equivalent, coupled with 1-3+ years of relevant experience in laboratory animal care and technical skills.
- Prior experience with IP (Intraperitoneal) and SQ (Subcutaneous) injections.
- Prior experience with mouse IV tail injections.
- Prior experience with isoflurane anesthesia.
