Job Overview:

Key Qualifications:

  • Defines and formulates system scope and objectives through comprehensive research and analysis to develop or enhance moderately complex information systems.
  • Creates detailed specifications from which software programs will be developed.
  • Reviews and modifies existing system logic issues and documentation as necessary.
  • Capable of working on most phases of applications systems analysis activities, though may require guidance in certain areas.
  • May utilize CASE tools as needed.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct enterprise-wide risk assessments and vulnerability evaluations to determine the security posture of the command.
  • Coordinate and formulate recommendations regarding Cybersecurity incident responses, mitigation strategies, and risk assessments to safeguard command information systems from damage or unauthorized alterations in accordance with all applicable regulations.
  • Execute scans of all static code across systems and applications using government-approved tools to ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements supporting boundary authorizations.
  • Offer recommendations and perform logging, correlation, and scanning utilizing government and Cybersecurity tools (e.g., Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) and Army Endpoint Security System (AESS)).
  • Analyze and correlate risk impacts and compliance across all systems, applications, and authorization boundaries.
  • Provide surge support, technical guidance, and expertise in Cybersecurity to assist customers, mission partners, Information Management Officers (IMOs), Information System Security Officers (ISSOs), Information System Owners, Software Developers, Network Systems, and Database Administrators in compliance with all relevant cyber regulations; deliver results in reports, briefs, and other required deliverables to the appropriate government representative.
  • Deliver Cybersecurity surge support in response to real-world scenarios or additional requirements in support of Risk Management Framework (RMF) compliance checks and documentation reviews across authorization boundaries, including but not limited to:
    • Preparation for security reviews of all security controls associated with RMF relevant to assigned authorization boundaries based on confidentiality, integrity, or availability designations.
    • Conduct on-site or off-site reviews of all information systems to audit and validate compliance with security controls.
    • Act as reviewers for audit teams during inspections, assessments, evaluations, and audits.
    • Provide necessary reports to the assigned government representative.
    • Conduct reviews, validations, and deliverable efforts in support of compliance or non-compliance in accordance with CCI, STIGs, and SRGs for each identified finding or vulnerability as per RMF.
    • Offer embedded Cybersecurity support across customer or other supported organizations as required.
