Job Overview:

Key Qualifications:

  • Defines and articulates system scope and objectives through thorough research and analysis to develop or modify moderately complex information systems.
  • Creates detailed specifications that will guide program development.
  • Evaluates and revises existing system logic issues and documentation as necessary.
  • Capable of contributing to most phases of applications systems analysis activities, but may require guidance in certain areas.
  • May utilize CASE tools as needed.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive risk analysis and vulnerability assessments to evaluate the command's security posture.
  • Develop and coordinate recommendations for Cybersecurity incident response, mitigation, and remediation actions to safeguard command information systems from damage or alteration in accordance with all relevant regulations and directives.
  • Execute scans of all static code across systems and applications using government-approved tools to ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements supporting boundary authorizations.
  • Offer recommendations and perform logging, correlation, and scanning with provided government and Cybersecurity tools (Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) and Army Endpoint Security System (AESS)).
  • Analyze and correlate risk impact and compliance across all systems, applications, and authorization boundaries.
  • Provide surge support, technical guidance, and expertise in Cybersecurity to assist customers, mission partners, IMOs, ISSOs, IS Owners, Software Developers, Network Systems, and Database Administrators in alignment with all related cyber regulations and directives; deliver results in reports, briefs, and other required deliverables to the appropriate government representative.
  • Deliver Cybersecurity surge support in response to real-world or additional requirements in support of RMF compliance checks and documentation review across authorization boundaries, including but not limited to:
    • Prepare for security reviews of all security controls associated with RMF relevant to an assigned authorization boundary based on Confidentiality, Integrity, or Availability designations.
    • Conduct on-site or off-site reviews of all information systems to audit and validate compliance with associated security controls.
    • Act as reviewers for audit teams during inspections, assessments, evaluations, audits, etc.
    • Provide reports to the assigned government representative as necessary.
    • Conduct reviews, validation, and deliverable efforts in support of compliance or non-compliance in accordance with CCI, STIGs, and SRGs for each finding or vulnerability in line with RMF.
    • Offer embedded Cybersecurity support across customer or other supported organizations as required.
