Job Overview:

Key Qualifications:

  • Defines and articulates system scope and objectives through comprehensive research and analysis to develop or enhance moderately complex information systems.
  • Creates detailed specifications that serve as the foundation for program development.
  • Evaluates and modifies existing system logic and documentation as necessary.
  • Capable of contributing to various phases of applications systems analysis, while requiring guidance in certain areas.
  • Utilizes CASE tools as needed.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conducts enterprise-wide risk assessments and vulnerability evaluations to gauge the security posture of the command.
  • Collaborates on and formulates recommendations regarding Cybersecurity incident responses, mitigation strategies, and risk assessments to safeguard command information systems in accordance with relevant regulations and directives.
  • Executes scans of all static code across systems and applications using government-approved tools to ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements supporting boundary authorizations.
  • Offers recommendations and performs logging, correlation, and scanning using government and Cybersecurity tools such as Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) and Army Endpoint Security System (AESS).
  • Analyzes and correlates risk impacts and compliance across all systems, applications, and authorization boundaries.
  • Provides surge support, technical expertise, and guidance in Cybersecurity to assist customers, mission partners, Information Management Officers (IMOs), Information System Security Officers (ISSOs), Information System Owners, Software Developers, Network Systems, and Database Administrators in compliance with all relevant cyber regulations and directives; delivers results in reports, briefs, and other required documentation to the appropriate government representative.
  • Delivers Cybersecurity surge support in response to real-world scenarios or additional requirements related to Risk Management Framework (RMF) compliance checks and documentation reviews across authorization boundaries, including but not limited to:
    • Preparing security reviews for all controls associated with RMF relevant to assigned authorization boundaries based on confidentiality, integrity, or availability designations.
    • Conducting on-site or remote reviews of information systems to audit and validate compliance with security controls.
    • Participating as reviewers for audit teams during inspections, assessments, evaluations, and audits.
    • Providing necessary reports to the assigned government representative as required.
    • Conducting reviews, validations, and deliverable efforts in support of compliance or non-compliance with CCI, STIGs, and SRGs for each identified finding or vulnerability in accordance with RMF.
    • Delivering embedded Cybersecurity support across customer or other supported organizations as necessary.
