Job Summary:

As a key member of our market team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our market department. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by providing excellent service and ensuring that our market cases are always fully stocked and rotated.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Market Operations: Work closely with upper management to train and develop team members, schedule, plan, assign, and direct work to ensure seamless market operations.
  • Inventory Management: Collaborate with upper management to review historical data on sales, ads, and promotions, and co-manage inventory using item management processes to maintain satisfactory in-stock levels.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and taking orders by phone and in person.
  • Quality Control: Enforce quality control and food safety standards, ensuring dated products are stocked and rotated properly, and making fine judgments about aroma, texture, and color to inspect product for quality.
  • Teamwork: Work well with fellow team members to promote a team environment and effectively communicate with customers and partners.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; one or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of experience and/or higher education preferred.
  • Certifications: Food Handler certification and Manager Food Safety certification required.
  • Skills: Intermediate knowledge of market department operations, in-store ordering machine, and inventory management processes; ability to read and operate digital equipment, meters, dials, and/or calibrated scales; ability to safely operate and maintain department equipment.
