Job SummaryAs a Market Operations Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of our market department. You will work closely with management to train and develop team members, manage inventory, and maintain high standards of customer service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Collaborate with upper management to provide training and development for team members, including scheduling, planning, assigning tasks, and directing work.
- Support management by reviewing sales data, advertising campaigns, and promotions. Co-manage inventory using established processes to ensure optimal stock levels. Analyze profit and loss statements, sales figures, shrinkage reports, and labor data with the department manager.
- Contribute to the overall success of the market by driving sales performance, financial results, public relations, product quality, and adherence to work standards.
- Oversee inventory checks on incoming trucks, unload products accurately, and ensure the accuracy of inventory records, orders, and associated paperwork.
- Prepare meat products for sale by cutting, weighing, packaging, and labeling them. Utilize both precision and non-precision tools to cut or saw unfinished meat into desired sizes, shapes, and weights.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and procedures.
This role is primarily performed in a retail store setting. You will frequently be exposed to cold temperatures (non-weather related), wet or damp conditions, sharp blades or edges, and cleaning agents. The noise level can range from moderate to loud.
