Position Overview

The Technology Risk Management Vice President plays a pivotal role within the First Line Risk and Controls (FLRC) team, which is integral to ensuring robust technology risk governance at State Street. This position entails spearheading and executing key components of the FLRC Regulatory Management Services (RMS) initiative, including overseeing a global team equipped with the necessary expertise to address regulatory findings, collaborating with management to curate and finalize remediation documentation, and crafting comprehensive closing reports with pertinent metrics for various Lines of Defense (LOD) and regulatory bodies.

Key Responsibilities

As the FLRC Vice President, your responsibilities will include:
  • Collaborating with the Global Technology Services FLRC RMS team to manage execution, reporting, and summarization of ongoing regulatory initiatives, ensuring high-quality analysis and responses to global regulators.
  • Leading a team that provides technical assessments, project management support, and develops regulatory finding closure materials, including documentation inventory and closing memoranda.
  • Conducting formal reviews of closure documentation across LODs to ensure alignment and thorough evaluation.
  • Advising management and remediation plan owners on effective messaging, tone, and structure of closing documents, emphasizing impactful metrics to support remediation efforts.
  • Drafting regulatory remediation closing memoranda, framing executive messaging, authoring key sections, and coordinating inputs from stakeholders.
  • Engaging with key stakeholders, including IT management, Enterprise Technology Risk Management, Compliance, Corporate Audit, and Legal throughout the remediation lifecycle.
  • Monitoring and reporting on regulatory remediation progress for analysis and senior management communication.
  • Providing regular updates and project management reports as required.
  • Mentoring junior staff in best practices related to risk analysis, compliance evaluation, control assurance, and testing execution.
Qualifications and Skills

  • Expertise in financial services, information technology, information security, systems development, and change management.
  • The ability to work independently while sharing knowledge and providing mentorship to colleagues.

  • Effective stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • A commitment to fulfilling organizational strategies and objectives.
  • The capability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Education & Experience

Preferred qualifications include:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, IT Security, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of years of experience in risk management and auditing standards.
  • Knowledge of IT risk and global financial regulatory programs.
  • Collaborative skills to produce high-quality work.
  • Proficiency in business writing and communication.
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
