The primary role of the Technical Sales Consultant is to foster and sustain positive and mutually advantageous relationships between Amada and its clientele, while persistently and proactively pursuing new business opportunities within the assigned region. This role encompasses all facets of the relationship, including product sales, service, and post-sale support. The Technical Sales Consultant is expected to optimize product sales by leveraging the "Amada Team," which includes Product Specialists, Applications & Verification personnel, Service, and support groups. The Consultant is anticipated to diligently identify customer requirements and seize opportunities utilizing the Solution Center, Technical Centers, VPSS, I-Pro, promotional materials, trade exhibitions, and other resources provided by Amada.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maximize product sales and meet all sales and activity objectives.
  • Educate clients on the latest technologies and advancements offered by Amada.
  • Conduct regular sales visits to established clients.
  • Proactively seek and develop new accounts through industry guides and cold outreach.
  • Facilitate and conduct regular customer demonstrations at Solution and Technical Centers.
  • Encourage and enhance customer participation in Solution Center and Technical Center events.
  • Provide status updates and reports to the Regional Manager.
  • Ensure all necessary sales documentation is obtained from clients and coordinate the sales order process through relevant Amada departments for efficient order processing.
  • Utilize Amada's internal KM system to maintain an accurate database of customers and prospects, updating customer status and contact details as necessary. Generate technical proposals and enter prospecting information through the KM system.
  • Stay informed about product knowledge and pricing updates.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepare special reports as required.
  • Assist with various tasks within the department.
COMPENSATION STRUCTURE $72,000 base salary plus commission

REPORTING STRUCTURE
  • Reports to Regional Manager.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • None.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent sales experience.
SKILLS REQUIRED
  • Proficient in computer applications (word processing and spreadsheets).
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office software (e.g., PowerPoint and Excel) for sales presentations.
  • Exceptional communication skills (both verbal and written), with attention to detail.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
  • Frequent travel is necessary.
  • Candidate must be located in proximity to the designated region.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
LIFTING: Average Weight: 25 lb. Frequency: Daily
