Job Summary

The Executive Assistant will provide high-level administrative support to a department, requiring specialized knowledge and comprehensive administrative, organizational, and operational skills. This role involves participating in operational planning, coordinating departmental policies and procedures, and performing day-to-day operations such as answering phones, assisting visitors, and preparing correspondence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the department, including answering phones, responding to emails, and preparing correspondence.
  • Assist with operational planning, including coordinating departmental policies and procedures.
  • Perform day-to-day operations, such as preparing departmental requisitions, disbursements, and purchase orders.
  • Communicate with outside vendors, create and prepare correspondence, schedule meetings, and provide assistance with project planning and research.
  • Prepare travel arrangements, process payroll, and maintain unit files, inventories, and records.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Five years of administrative, office, or related experience required.
  • Prior light bookkeeping and office management experience desirable; administrative support experience preferred.
  • Excellent organization and administrative skills required.
  • Ability to communicate accurate information to vendors and relate with a highly skilled staff.
