Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Health Unit Coordinator to join our team at Memorial Healthcare System. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our nursing staff, ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
  • Assemble and maintain patient records and charts, adhering to strict confidentiality and security protocols.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and visitors, responding to their needs and concerns in a professional and compassionate manner.
  • Manage and coordinate communication, including answering phones, responding to emails, and distributing messages to staff members.
  • Perform various administrative tasks, such as data entry, filing, and supply management, to maintain a well-organized and efficient work environment.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures.
