Job Summary
The Administrative Specialist III role at Broward College is a dynamic position that requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to provide administrative support to the South Academics Business & Computer Science department. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of administrative tasks, including staff support, recordkeeping, and data management.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the department, including answering phones, responding to emails, and assisting with special projects.
- Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date records, files, and databases.
- Coordinate meetings, events, and appointments for supervisors and other staff members.
- Prepare and distribute reports, agendas, and minutes of meetings.
- Assist with budgeting, procurement, and fiscal administration of the unit.
- Provide excellent customer service to employees, departments, administrators, and the public.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred.
- Three to five years of administrative experience required; experience with Workday and Microsoft 365 preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to recognize needs of the unit and take responsibility for own work.
- Proficient in office software skills, including Microsoft Office 365 and data analysis.
