Senior Human Resources Manager

Recology is seeking a highly skilled Senior Human Resources Manager to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for providing strategic guidance and support to our management team on all aspects of human resources.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
- Provide guidance and support to managers on employee relations, performance management, and talent development.
- Conduct investigations into harassment, discrimination, and workplace violence complaints.
- Manage leaves of absence, including letters and notifications, in compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
- Ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements and attend grievance and arbitration proceedings as necessary.
- Partner with management to develop job descriptions and salary adjustment recommendations.
- Provide guidance on performance appraisal processes and assist with merit increase determinations.
- Assist managers in assessing employee training and professional development needs.
- Consult with managers prior to involuntary terminations and represent the company at hearings.
- Maintain familiarity with the company's Affirmative Action Plan and monitor progress relative to the plan.
- 6-8 years of related human resources and management experience.
- Expert knowledge of human resources theory and practice.
- Current developments and trends in areas of expertise.
- Principles of personnel training, supervision, and evaluation.
- Supervisory techniques, resource allocation, planning, and budgeting.
- Experience in supporting a diverse workforce.
- Computer programs, including Microsoft Office suite of applications.
- Knowledge of HRIS functionalities.
- Ability to build collaborative relationships and influence management.
