Sales Account Manager

At Microtec North America, we are seeking a highly skilled Sales Account Manager to drive sales of our lumber scanning and optimization solutions. This role requires a strong understanding of our customers' operations and needs, as well as excellent technical support skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential customers to identify new business opportunities.
- Provide technical support to the in-house sales team at key stages of the sales process.
- Expand the existing client base through networking and lead development.
- Negotiate orders and other commercial terms with customers.
- Update CRM to reflect sales activities.
- Attend trade shows and travel at a minimum of 50%.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years Capital Equipment experience.
- Minimum 2 years B2B direct sales experience.
- Background and knowledge of integration of products and equipment.
- Engineering background highly preferred.
- Experience in the wood products industry highly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and listening skills.
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn our products.
- Self-directed, ability to work independently, high sense of personal accountability, and deadline/results oriented.
- Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Ability to regularly travel to company and customer locations in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Europe for weeks at a time.
- Valid driver's license.
