Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Records Specialist to join our team at Samhealth Test account. As a Medical Records Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and completeness of patient medical records, ensuring compliance with medical, legal, and ethical standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize and maintain patient medical records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform duties related to the use and disclosure of protected health information (Release of Information [ROI]).
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and staff to ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient information.
  • Develop and implement processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of medical records management.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One (1) year experience, education or training in an HIM related field required.
  • Experience and/or training in medical record standards of practice, medical terminology, and operating computers and office equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Health Information Technology or other health care related college course work.
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and maintain attention to detail. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team to achieve goals and objectives.
