We are currently seeking a full-time Intake Specialist to enhance our services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Respond to incoming calls and assist walk-in clients.
  • Help individuals articulate their needs when seeking services.
  • Conduct a comprehensive screening process to connect clients with suitable services and resources.
  • Advocate for clients to secure necessary resources and services.
  • Triage and de-escalate situations involving individuals in crisis, linking them to appropriate emergency resources.
  • Assist clients with completing applications, screening tools, and other necessary documentation for accessing services.
  • Follow up with clients to ensure successful referrals and linkages.
  • Document and enter data related to the intake services provided during or at the end of each shift.
  • Engage in community outreach by participating in service fairs and public speaking events to promote our services.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School diploma with a minimum of 3 years of experience in human services, required; or an associate's degree in a relevant field with 1 year of experience; or a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, preferred.
  • Ability to complete a required 40-hour domestic violence training.
  • Proficient computer skills and willingness to learn various applications, including Microsoft Office.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment and meet multiple deadlines.
  • Demonstrated courtesy, patience, and sound judgment under pressure.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and groups.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • While performing essential duties, the employee must be able to sit and stand for extended periods, frequently talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate controls.
  • The employee should be capable of lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.
SALARY:
  • Compensation is based on years of relevant experience, position requirements, and candidate qualifications, with an average salary of $46,000.
