We are seeking a skilled professional to oversee and manage affordable housing and multifamily construction projects. This role is critical in ensuring the successful execution of projects within the San Francisco Bay Area, where our client has established a strong reputation and is experiencing growth.

Client Background

With over three decades of experience, our client specializes in delivering high-quality construction projects across various sectors, including multifamily housing, healthcare, and education. They are dedicated to exceptional client service and strive to transform client visions into tangible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the project team effectively, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, construction managers, project teams, consultants, subcontractors, and relevant stakeholders.
  • Oversee project setup, site logistics, field coordination, and scheduling.
  • Review project documentation for feasibility and accuracy, including shop drawings.
  • Maintain comprehensive project records, including RFIs, ASIs, and as-built documents.
  • Develop and implement a site-specific emergency action plan in conjunction with the Project Manager.
  • Supervise subcontractor activities and ensure compliance with project standards.
  • Coordinate inspections and compliance checks with building authorities and subcontractors.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and prepare daily safety audit reports.
  • Facilitate and participate in meetings, including Foreman, safety, and project staff meetings.
  • Manage workforce productivity and performance on-site.
  • Utilize project management and scheduling software proficiently.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the construction industry as a commercial construction superintendent.
  • Experience in affordable housing construction is essential.
  • Proven track record in managing multifamily or senior living projects valued between $40M and $100M.
  • Strong numerical and computer skills are required.
  • Ability to effectively coordinate and manage project timelines.
  • Excellent communication skills, ensuring timely information exchange.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
  • Proficient in technical tools such as PlanGrid, Microsoft Project, and the MS Office Suite.
