Job Overview
Responsible for the planning, design, and management of construction activities across one or several assigned projects. This position entails directing the renovation, alteration, or new construction of both new and existing structures. The Construction Site Manager will supervise the construction team and any additional contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all construction operations.
- Guide field personnel to ensure timely project completion.
- Maintain open lines of communication regarding project status with project managers and administrative staff.
- Develop and adjust project timelines to ensure on-time delivery.
- Assess the performance and effectiveness of field teams and their crews.
- Prepare daily reports and timesheets for the job site.
- Participate in on-site and off-site meetings as required.
- Encourage and enforce safety protocols and practices.
Educational Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Site Manager in heavy civil construction.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations is essential.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and relevant contract documents.
- Familiarity with construction management software is preferred.
- Ability to foster a collaborative team environment.
- Skilled in building and maintaining positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Experience in bridge construction is advantageous.
Licenses and Certifications
- OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certifications.
- Valid Driver's License.
