Job Overview

Vail Resorts Hospitality IT is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to lead cross-functional teams in designing, developing, and implementing large-scale enhancement projects and new system implementations. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent business acumen, strong communication skills, and the ability to navigate ambiguity and complex issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead project execution from inception to completion, including creating and finalizing project documents, facilitating project scope definition, and managing project resources.
  • Build and foster collaboration among cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure project milestones are achieved on time, with quality, and within budget.
  • Monitor and report on project progress to stakeholders, identifying risks and roadblocks, and providing executive summaries as needed.
  • Manage project resources, including personnel and necessary equipment, and strive to continuously improve standard project processes and templates.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in IT project management, computer science, or information technology management, or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of demonstrated IT project management experience, with a strong familiarity with SDLC and project management methodologies.
  • PMI-PMP or CAPM Certification.
  • Excellent written and communication skills, with the ability to comfortably communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Keen attention to detail and the ability to deliver high-quality project documentation and deliverables.

Vail Resorts offers a 'Hybrid' work environment where employees living within 50 miles of the Broomfield office work on-site Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and have flexibility to work off-site on Mondays and Fridays. Employees living outside of a commutable distance can work remotely from British Columbia, Washington D.C., and the 16 U.S. states in which we currently operate.
