GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION:


As the Human Resources Director at BSG Maintenance Inc, you will be instrumental in crafting and executing our workforce strategies. Your leadership and proficiency in HR management will be essential in developing, implementing, and overseeing HR programs and initiatives that resonate with our organizational objectives while promoting a positive and inclusive workplace culture. You will lead a committed HR team, collaborate with senior leadership, and ensure compliance with all HR regulations and best practices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  1. Coordinate recruitment efforts for necessary personnel; create and distribute internal job postings, online advertisements, and promotional materials.
  2. Support the hiring process by interviewing and assessing candidates, verifying references, scheduling pre-employment screenings, and collaborating with managers on hiring decisions.
  3. Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires into the HR system.
  4. Work alongside the President, Regional Managers, and Facility Supervisors to address site-specific staffing needs.
  5. Serve as a resource for employees regarding HR inquiries or concerns.
  6. Assist in the development and administration of various HR plans and procedures; maintain the employee handbook and policy manuals.
  7. Manage worker's compensation claims and oversee the return-to-work program.
  8. Lead the Company Safety Committee focused on minimizing workplace injuries; conduct accident investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  9. Develop and implement processes for onboarding new employees, performance management, and exit procedures for departing staff.
  10. Provide coaching to employees and management on employee relations matters.
  11. Ensure adherence to legal compliance by following federal, state, and internal HR regulations.
  12. Oversee activities supporting the corporation's affirmative action program and ensure compliance with EEO regulations.
  13. Act as the HR liaison for facility managers, providing administrative support on recruitment, performance management, and leave of absence matters.
  14. Administer employee benefits, including claims resolution, new enrollments, change reporting, invoice reconciliation, and conducting benefit orientations.
  15. Maintain attendance and PTO records for each employee; monitor activities and advise supervisors on disciplinary actions as necessary.
  16. Manage Human Resource Information System records, employee personnel files, and separate medical record files.
  17. Provide employment verification and reference information to external entities.
  18. Monitor and prepare responses related to unemployment insurance.
  19. Compile and coordinate various regulatory reports for the organization.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:


Knowledge of:


  • Principles and practices of HR administration
  • State and Federal Employment Law
  • Employee benefit plans in health and welfare
  • Insurance regulations and record-keeping administration
  • COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, and related regulations
  • EEO and Affirmative Action requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:


A bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field.

A minimum of 3 years of experience in an HR role, with experience in a healthcare setting being advantageous.

Familiarity with Paycom or similar payroll and timekeeping systems.
