Job Overview

Bowman and Brooke LLP is a prominent national defense law firm specializing in product liability, consumer warranty, and lemon law litigation. We are currently seeking a Litigation Paralegal to enhance our dedicated team of legal professionals.

This role is essential to our case management, where paralegals are valued for their insights and contributions. Key Responsibilities:
  • Draft, revise, and proofread various legal documents, including correspondence, agreements, and pleadings.
  • Collaborate with attorneys to ensure the progression of litigation, proactively updating team members on case statuses and alerting them to critical client needs.
  • Assist in the discovery process, including managing discovery requests, depositions, issuing subpoenas, and document production.
  • Conduct document review and analysis using various platforms.
  • Organize and manage electronic case files through a document management system to ensure easy access to information.
  • Prepare for mediations, arbitrations, client meetings, and trials, including compiling materials, coordinating witnesses, and managing exhibits.
Qualifications:
  • Detail-oriented, diligent, and motivated individual.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing demands and opportunities.
  • Proficient in anticipating challenges and exercising independent judgment.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality work and taking ownership of responsibilities.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and processes.
  • Capability to travel as required for trial attendance.
  • Familiarity with client billing guidelines and accurate billing practices.
  • Physical ability to lift files and boxes weighing up to 30 lbs.
Education and Experience:
  • A Bachelor's Degree, Paralegal Certificate, or equivalent education and experience.
  • 4-5+ years of experience in a litigation law firm, preferably in defense consumer warranty and lemon law.
Working Conditions:

  • Standard 40-hour work week with core hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Flexibility for remote work after the initial training period.
