Payroll Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Coordinator to join our dynamic team at Sciens Building Solutions. As a Payroll Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring our employees receive timely and accurate wages.
Key Responsibilities:- Process multi-state payrolls accurately and efficiently.
- Audit and handle payroll processing, addressing general inquiries about payroll issues or discrepancies.
- Calculate payable hours, overtime, deductions, bonuses, and reimbursements.
- Prepare reports as needed.
- Stay updated on federal and state payroll and tax regulations.
- Exercise good judgment in executing tasks according to applicable regulations, company policies, and procedures.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and integrity to ensure the protection of payroll operations and information.
- Set up wage garnishments.
- Develop and perform special projects as necessary for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Associate's degree in business, finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of four (4) years payroll processing experience; UKG or similar experience preferred.
- High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
- Experience with prevailing wage administration and reporting preferred.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Knowledge of various payroll-related labor laws.
