The Business Development Representative is a key member of our team at Summit BHC, responsible for driving business growth and partnerships in the addiction and mental health treatment field. This role requires a strong understanding of the local market and referral base, as well as excellent relational skills and the ability to multitask.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Business Development Programs: Work with the Director of Business Development to develop and implement business development programs that drive growth and partnerships.
- Maintain a Schedule of Primary Sources: Maintain a schedule of primary sources, including business, industry, EAPs, managed care of clients, physicians/licensed practitioners, and allied health professionals. Document every contact in the appropriate Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
- Develop and Maintain New Account Relationships: Develop and maintain new account relationships and markets, targeting and creating new strategies for increasing business in highly competitive markets.
- Represent the Facility: Represent the facility at civic and professional functions, communicating the mission and values of Summit BHC in all outreach interactions.
- Manage Leads and Admissions: Manage leads from referral sources and ensure efficient admissions process for clients, maintaining a collaborative working relationship with the Admissions Department.
- Collaborate with Facility Teams: Collaborate closely with facility discharge planners, social workers, case managers, physicians, and management to generate referral sources and drive business growth.
- Stay Current with Industry Developments: Maintain current awareness of changes in the industry through self-education, peer education, and professional and community involvement.
- Attend Department Meetings: Attend scheduled department meetings to provide timely reports on month-end reviews, client servicing schedules, customer sales forms, and other reporting requirements.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Behavioral Health, Marketing, or related field preferred. Minimum of three years of experience in a healthcare business development/marketing environment is essential.
- Skills and Abilities: Good understanding of the local market and referral base; organized and able to multitask; well-developed and effective relational skills; ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, early mornings, and weekends.
