Department Summary:


The Cyber Forensics Expert will collaborate closely with Cyber Security Operations teams and internal investigative partners to assist in incident response and various investigations.

Key responsibilities encompass forensic data collection and analysis, along with providing specialized guidance for cyber investigations or fraud inquiries.


Role Summary:


The Digital Evidence Analyst defines, develops, and implements Technology Controls/Information Security policies and programs, offering expert advice on risk assessment, identifying vulnerabilities, and proposing security measures to mitigate risks and safeguard the organization.

Engages in projects of moderate to high complexity, delivering comprehensive reporting, analysis, and assessments at the functional or enterprise level.


Scope of Work:
Involves participation in complex, large-scale projects and initiatives

Acts as a leading expert in technology controls/information security for project teams and external vendors

Possesses advanced knowledge of organizational, technology control, security, and risk issues

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required

Information security certification/accreditation is advantageous

7+ years of relevant experience

Expertise in IT security and risk management practices

Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with digital forensic principles, methodologies, and tools (e.g., EnCase, Axiom, e-Discovery tools, Cellebrite, Intella, Crowdstrike, Splunk)

Understanding of investigative principles, including evidence handling and regulatory proceedings

Ability to communicate technical evidence clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Knowledge of Data Loss Prevention tools and conducting related investigations

Exceptional written and verbal communication, organizational, leadership, and planning skills

Proven ability to manage crisis situations effectively.

Self-motivated, strategic thinker, and adept at negotiating and building consensus, with a track record of managing competing priorities.

Understanding of organizational priorities and relationships

Solid grasp of governing documents, procedures, and business administration

Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux, and OSX)

Knowledge of malware analysis and reverse engineering is a plus

Understanding of network services and client/server applications

Experience with enterprise systems and infrastructure

Familiarity with programming/scripting languages is beneficial

Background in operational information security disciplines (e.g., incident response, security infrastructure management)

Knowledge of network architecture and security infrastructure placement

Experience in cyber forensics, incident response, and digital investigations is advantageous.

Ability to resolve conflicts effectively and find common ground.

Capacity to pursue leads until all investigative avenues have been explored.

Ability to analyze data and make logical, pragmatic decisions.
