Information Security Engineer – Cyber Threat Intelligence Division

An Information Security Engineer within the Cyber Threat Intelligence division will play a crucial role in crafting technical solutions and offering expert consultation to tackle intricate information security issues. This position entails analyzing threats, engaging in projects aimed at minimizing cyber risks, and collaborating with both internal and external IT teams and business partners to pinpoint security vulnerabilities and emerging threats. Furthermore, this role provides technical direction to ensure compliance with regulatory monitoring standards and assists the Principal Information Security Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support: Aid in the development of technical solutions and offer consultation for IT security challenges.
  • Collaborative Efforts: Partner with IT teams and stakeholders to identify security risks and deficiencies.
  • Regulatory Guidance: Provide technical advice to fulfill regulatory obligations.
  • Continuous Monitoring: Support ongoing surveillance of IT systems for security purposes.
  • Process Automation: Assist in designing and implementing automated security processes.
  • Security Reporting: Help in the creation and presentation of security analysis reports to senior management.
  • Risk Management: Collaborate with stakeholders to mitigate security risks and develop security metrics.
  • Project Coordination: Assist in organizing project plans and updates.
  • Process Enhancement: Recommend enhancements for IT security standards and processes.
  • Threat Response: Stay informed about cybersecurity threats and respond to security assessments.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members and leadership on various projects and issues.
  • Additional Duties: Execute tasks as assigned by the Principal Information Security Engineer.

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • 4-6 years of experience in IT Security or Corporate Risk.
  • 2-4 years of experience in Information Assurance, Risk, and Cybersecurity Program governance.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Technical Proficiencies:

  • Familiarity with security frameworks (PCI, SOX, HIPAA, NIST).
  • Understanding of security system configurations and data visualization techniques.
  • Knowledge of File Integrity Monitoring, Firewall Review, Data Loss Prevention, and Patch Management.
  • Proficiency in operating systems, networks, and databases.

  • Effective organizational and time management skills.

  • Adept at managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certifications:

  • CISSP, CISM, or CISA (in progress or completed).

Technical Skills:

  • Experience with Python, PowerShell, SQL, Tableau, Splunk, and EDR/XDR solutions.
  • Familiarity with Threat Intelligence Platforms and SOAR solutions.

Relevant Work Experience:

  • Experience with Threat Intelligence vendors and platforms.
  • Experience in threat analysis, digital forensics, and cloud service evaluation.
  • Experience in delivering presentations to large and senior audiences.
  • Experience in public or private intelligence roles.
