Information Security Analyst – Cyber Threat Intelligence Division

An Information Security Analyst within the Cyber Threat Intelligence Division will play a crucial role in crafting technical solutions and offering expert advice to tackle intricate information security issues. This position encompasses threat profiling, engaging in initiatives aimed at minimizing cyber risks, and collaborating with both internal and external IT teams and business partners to pinpoint security vulnerabilities and emerging threats. Furthermore, the role entails providing technical support to ensure compliance with regulatory monitoring standards and assisting the Principal Information Security Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support: Aid in the creation of technical solutions and offer guidance for IT security challenges.
  • Collaboration: Partner with IT teams and stakeholders to identify security vulnerabilities and risks.
  • Regulatory Guidance: Deliver technical insights to comply with regulatory standards.
  • Continuous Monitoring: Assist in the ongoing surveillance of IT systems for security purposes.
  • Automation Development: Contribute to the design and implementation of automated security processes.
  • Reporting: Help in the development and presentation of security analysis reports to senior management.
  • Risk Management: Collaborate with stakeholders to mitigate security risks and establish security metrics.
  • Project Coordination: Support the organization of project plans and updates.
  • Process Enhancement: Suggest improvements for IT security standards and procedures.
  • Threat Response: Stay informed about cybersecurity threats and participate in security assessments.
  • Team Collaboration: Engage with team members and leadership on various projects and issues.
  • Additional Duties: Execute tasks as assigned by the Principal Information Security Engineer.

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • 4-6 years of experience in IT Security or Corporate Risk.
  • 2-4 years of experience in Information Assurance, Risk, and Cybersecurity Program governance.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Technical Proficiencies:

  • Familiarity with security frameworks (e.g., PCI, SOX, HIPAA, NIST).
  • Understanding of security system configurations and data visualization techniques.
  • Knowledge of File Integrity Monitoring, Firewall Reviews, Data Loss Prevention, and Patch Management.
  • Proficient in operating systems, networks, and databases.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certifications:

  • CISSP, CISM, or CISA (in progress or completed).

Technical Skills:

  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, PowerShell, SQL, and tools like Tableau, Splunk, and EDR/XDR solutions.
  • Familiarity with Threat Intelligence Platforms and SOAR solutions.

Relevant Work Experience:

  • Experience with Threat Intelligence vendors and platforms.
  • Background in threat analysis, digital forensics, and cloud service evaluations.
  • Experience in delivering presentations to large and senior audiences.
  • Experience in public or private intelligence roles.
