Job Overview:

The Information Security Analyst at Regions Bank plays a crucial role in evaluating, identifying, and documenting cybersecurity vulnerabilities. This position requires a proactive individual who understands fundamental technology and cybersecurity principles, as well as industry best practices, to investigate, address, and escalate issues as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with technology teams, vendors, and business units to gather necessary documentation.
  • Perform security evaluations utilizing security scans and other intelligence.
  • Work with various stakeholders within Cyber Security and Technology departments to accurately document and communicate security vulnerabilities.
  • Ensure thorough documentation of technology assessment outcomes and track remediation efforts.
  • Provide comprehensive documentation of tasks executed, including the status of ongoing work.
  • Assist in analyzing software for compliance with Regions Bank's Cyber Security standards.
  • Stay informed on global cybersecurity threats and offer guidance on potential gaps in existing standards.
  • May implement cybersecurity requirements based on configuration strategies that consider operational needs and application requirements.
  • Participate in planning and support cybersecurity engineering for new initiatives.

This role is exempt from timekeeping regulations under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime compensation.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED with two (2) years of relevant post-secondary education and/or experience in Information Security or Information Technology.
  • Willingness to familiarize oneself with regulatory standards and industry guidelines such as GLBA, PCI-DSS, and NIST.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of or eagerness to learn about Cloud Security concepts (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Willingness to pursue relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GIAC.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Self-motivated with a strong initiative for continuous improvement.
  • Team-oriented with a focus on collective success.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Familiarity with security disciplines such as malware analysis, computer forensics, cyber incident response, and vulnerability scanning.
  • Strong investigative and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exceptional organizational, research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of information security principles, controls, and technologies.

This position requires proximity to a Regions Bank location. Relocation assistance is not provided for this role.

Compensation is determined based on various factors including experience, skills, and performance. Pay ranges are provided as a market reference.
