This is a full-time, 12-month Stated Definite Term appointment. The successful candidate will serve as the Budget Administrator for State, Foundation, Institutional Trust Funds and collaborate with ORI on GCERT and F&A Funds within the COE. In collaboration with the Dean and the College of Education Leadership team, the candidate will develop and implement business plans in accordance with the College's strategic priorities, best practice standards, and procedures to monitor budgeting and transactional activities for non-grant, non-instructional external funds, and proprietary accounts.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the financial manager for the College of Education and oversee all transactional, budgetary, and regulatory aspects of the College of Education.
Prepare financial reports, forecast, prepare budget entries, prepare/update fund authorities, journal entries and cash receipts.
Monitor cash flow and financial transactions to optimize financial resources.
Report for ECU Lab School with knowledge of Pitt County School guidelines and regulations, State of North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) and State Board of Education regulations and guidelines.
Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, or related business area and three years of administrative management or business management experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Preferred Qualifications
Accounting degree or BS/BA in Finance or related field preferred. Strong knowledge of financial principles and accounting practices. Five years of significant experience with budgets and budget procedures, including complex spreadsheet management, reconciliations, and reports. University budget management experience and knowledge of ECU budget regulations and resources is preferred.
