Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Access Representative to join our team at Northern Arizona Healthcare Corporation. As a Patient Access Representative, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth registration and scheduling process for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify and collect patient demographic and insurance information through direct data entry into the electronic medical record.
  • Conduct interviews with patients or authorized representatives to secure necessary information for registration and scheduling.
  • Accurately document discussions and registration/scheduling activities in the encounter.
  • Provide general explanations of scheduled procedures and patient instructions for diagnostic medical services.
  • Ensure system documentation reflects patient visit activities, including patient or provider contact, order documentation, insurance verification, financial education, and payment.
  • Explain legal forms and secure signatures as required for services.
  • Understand compliance standards, including EMTALA and HIPAA-Privacy Patient Confidentiality regulations.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1 year of customer service experience required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) preferred.
  • 2 years of experience in a medical facility, health insurance, or related medical field preferred.
