Position Overview:

The Patient Services Coordinator plays a vital role in managing front office operations, which includes patient interaction, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process. This position is supervised by a Front Office Supervisor.

Work Schedule:

Standard working hours are Monday through Friday, with options for 9am-6pm or 8am-5pm, including an hour of unpaid lunch.

Compensation: $18.00 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update client databases and manage appointment scheduling.
  • Coordinate transportation for clients as clinically necessary.
  • Handle medication inquiries and prior authorization requests.
  • Monitor and process lab results.
  • Schedule appointments for medication management, counseling, and intake.
  • Conduct intake referrals and screenings.
  • Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally.
  • Confirm and update client contact information.
  • Verify client eligibility and enrollment prior to appointments.
  • Collect client fees and copayments.
  • Flexibility to work at various locations as needed.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. is required.
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant training program is highly preferred.
  • Medical Assistant Certification is preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a medical or behavioral health setting is preferred.
  • Prior clerical experience, especially in a behavioral health context, is required (consideration for relevant coursework may be given).
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
